About me
I am a mother, counsellor, and dairy farmer with a deep appreciation for the arts and a lifelong connection to the equine world. My earlier career included roles as a manager and personal banker, and I have had the privilege of living in both London and Greece—experiences that continue to enrich my appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.
As a counsellor, I offer a compassionate, client-centred approach, supporting individuals to feel heard, understood, and empowered in their journeys. I hold a Bachelor of Counselling and am a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (MNZAC). My practice aligns with the NZAC Code of Ethics and professional standards, including a strong commitment to confidentiality, informed consent, safe boundaries, and ongoing professional development.
My work is grounded in Te Ao Māori values, with Tiriti-informed and decolonising practices thoughtfully woven throughout assessment and therapeutic processes. I am a committed ally of the Rainbow/LGBTQIA+ community and strive to provide an affirming, inclusive, and culturally safe space for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, and relationship structures. I am dedicated to fostering an environment of dignity, respect, and safety, while actively challenging stigma, discrimination, and limiting assumptions.
I offer private practice sessions at Taylormade Space in Cambridge and Railside on the Green in Matamata. I also work in partnership with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tamawhariua on Wednesdays, supporting their provision of free counselling services for residents in the Whakamarama, Ōmokoroa, Katikati throught to to Waihi Beach and Bowentown hapori. If you are part of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tamawhariua service area, please feel free to email me for availability.
